Chef David Mallard's deep appreciation for southern cuisine was developed at a young age growing up in the heart of the south, Mississippi. He was exposed to a variety of foods that would fuel his life long passion for cooking. David began his culinary career at an early age helping his loving grandmother Lillie Mae Mallard in the kitchen. At age 18, David moved to Jackson, MS to further his education. There David dived headfirst into the hospitality arena as a professional bartender for numerous years.
After moving to Charlotte, NC , David earned an opportunity to enroll at highly renowned Johnson and Wales University for culinary arts. David received his culinary teaching from some of the best and brightest in the field. Graduating at the top of his class David now adds Chef to his resume.
Chef David specializes in modern southern and cajun cuisines adding a touch of “happiness in every bite”. His food carries a bit of “southern bite” and spice. "Chef Dave”, as he is known to his clients, specializes in private and large catering events. He delivers the true southern hospitality that is known from southern gentlemen.
